The 3rd BARONESS J'S SISTAS AND DIVAS EVENING (#SADE)
#SADE is an annual event started in 2014 by the CEO BaronessJ Media and Events.
It was primarily intended to be a one-off event aimed at bringing together women from different cliques and sections of the London Nigerian community, to simply relax, meet new contacts, renew fractured acquaintances, eat, drink, dance and generally have a ladies fun night out without men or children. But the event was such a big success that many of the women who attended demanded that the event be held again. And thus was birthed the Annual Baroness J's Sistas And Divas Evening.
Every year the advent of the event is used as a medium to create awareness and also to raise funds for the organiser's chosen charitable organisation. In the past the event has supported and rasied hundreds of pounds for BritAfrique Charity and Focus on Disability Foundation

This year, the organiser has chosen to focus on Breast Cancer Awareness especially among Black/Nigerian women.
According to Jummy Ariyo Baronessj, there is not enough awareness of the disease reaching the Black community and studies show that due to ignorance of early symptoms of breast cancer or failure to carry our regular checks, black woman are most likely to present themselves for treatment at very late stages of the disease often resulting in needless loss of lives whereas early detection can enable life saving treatment.
There will be a raffle draw at the event. All proceeds as well as 5% of every ticket sold will be donated towards Breast Cancer Research UK to support their groundbreaking work and research into further lifesaving treatments.
