The much talked about event of the year 'An Audience With A Celebrity'! is fast Approaching! Yes! the Début of the prestigious and of course the first of its kind in the African/Caribbean Community in the UK.
The Event ‘An Audience With A Celebrity!’ (AAWAC)
We Present our variety Gala night tagged ‘An Audience With A Celebrity!’-AAWAC, where we put the spotlight on Celebrities, Special Guest Stars, Society Icons & Entertainment Personalities; mainly of African Caribbean descent as the ‘main attraction’ on the night. The Celebrities will be ably supported on stage by 2/3 of their close friends. These high octane, energy driven, classy and glamorous events are to be held at an appropriate concert/gig venue – ‘The Tabernacle’ Powis Square in the heart of London, with its debut in September 2011.
‘An Audience With A Celebrity!’ is proud to put the Spotlight on Ms Ellen Tenneh Thomas, UK/African Top Veteran Actress, Entertainment Personality, Stage & Theatre Icon as our Celebrity at this first edition. Ellen currently stars as ‘Mrs Grace Olubunmi on Eastenders’ and has starred in several BAFTA Award Winning TV programmes like ‘Eastenders’, ‘The Bill’, ‘Dr Who’, ‘Rev’, ‘Teacher’ ‘Casualty’, ‘Coming of Age’ etc. She has also had key roles in Films like ‘Basic Instincts 2’, ‘Wonderland’, ‘Secret Laughter of a Woman’ etc. Ellen has been cast as lead characters in numerous successful Theatre Productions too.
This prestigious event is put together to celebrate this shining Star in our Community, who is a much loved Role Model, on FRIDAY 9th SEPT 2011 at The Tabernacle, 35 Powis Sq, off Portobello Rd, Notting Hill Gate, London W11 2AY. The event will definitely attract people from the African & Caribbean Communities, including lovers of African arts & music within UK’s mainstream.
