The Premiere of Funke Akindele's, Return of Jenifa in Lagos

The anticipated movie “the return of jenifa” is finally come it was premiered at the Muson Center in Lagos.

Torrential rainfall in Lagos on Friday evening did nothing to dampen the excitement and festive vibe of the premiere. The event was packed with celebrities from the world of film and music. Everyone had caught the “Jenifa fever” and simply could not wait to see the movie.

The star actress of the day Funke Akindele arrived in a grand style with a Limo and looking very stunning with a mono strapped dress and later changed to a pink dress.

Funke Akindele Ayotunde popularly known as jenifa was born August 24th 1976. Funke obtained an OND in Mass Communication from Ogun state Polytechnic and also a law degree from University of Lagos.

 In 2009 she won an award from the African Movie Academy Award for the best Actress in a leading role.

She starred in the popular soap opera “I need to know” and after that she has starred in so many films and has also become a producer.

Celebrities that attended the show includes the likes of Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, kaffy(dancer), Oge Okoye, Ay(comedian) amongst others.

The Return of Jenifa to be Premiered at Muson Centre

An enthralling and exciting movie, ‘The Return of Jenifa’ has already attracted the support of the Lagos State government, Globacom and so many others.

Promising to be the best of the Jenifa movies, ‘The Return of Jenifa’  features music and movie stars like Antar Laniyan, Eldee the Don, Banky W, Denrele Edun, Iyabo Ojo, Ireti Osayemi, Helen Paul, Late Comedian CD John, Omawunmi, Yinka Quadri and many more.

Directed by DJ Tee of DJ Tee Films ‘The Return of Jenifa’ resolves the suspense that enveloped Jenifa's exploits. She registered to participate in a dancing competition but when asked to undergo an HIV test as requirement for the competition, Jenifa fled unsure of her status. There is a blatant silence as to the repercussion of Jenifa’s excesses, especially her HIV status.

Afraid of her status Jenifa becomes her own antagonist by being evasive. She withdrew from the society she once ruled and relocated back to her village. She does not stop being her crazy self while in the village but in the end, she learns life is not all about being 'Gbogbo Bigs Girls' without values.
